What are endodontics?
Endodontists are dentists with a special interest in saving teeth, with at least two years of additional education in order to become experts in performing root canal treatments, along with diagnosing and treating tooth pain. Patients will be referred to an endodontist if their teeth are particularly difficult to diagnose/treat.
What is a root canal dental treatment?
A root canal is a dental treatment done under local anaesthesia to remove a damaged nerve while saving the tooth. The treatment consists of three or four basic steps, but the number of visits will depend on your case.
